Eugene Hoover has had a lifelong passion for fishing in south Louisiana. He specializes in catching inshore species such as redfish, speckled trout and bass. He occasionally enjoys catching Sacalait and bream. Since retiring as an educator for St. James Parish after 33 years, having served as Principal of Lutcher High School from 2006 – 2012, he decided to fulfill his dream of becoming a charter captain to share his knowledge with others.

In late Fall, schools of redfish inundate the maze of lagoons, bays and bayous that make up the Louisiana coast, fattening up for the winter months. He has over 20 years experience on the Louisiana waters and makes sure the ice chest is always full with an abundance of fish before returning to the dock. He is always making sure is customers are reeling in the fish, all while laughing and having a fun.
